Auterive museum
The Musée des Métiers et Traditions (Museum of Crafts and Traditions) invites you to discover the habits and customs of yesteryear through a rich thematic exhibition. Here you can rediscover many of the trades that have disappeared or are about to disappear: carpenter, plumber, shoemaker, clog maker, blacksmith, blacksmith, etc. The collections are displayed in a showcase of bricks and pebbles, and the objects are open to the gaze of curious visitors of all ages.

Discover the collection of objects dating from prehistoric times to the Roman era found during archaeological digs in Auterive! This archaeological collection is accessible on all three levels of the Dominique Baudis multimedia library in Auterive. The information panels will help you to understand the excavations, how the remains were used in the past and the customs and habits of our ancestors…
Three floors, three eras: discover prehistoric tools on the ground floor, Gallic remains on the first floor and refined Roman objects on the second floor. Auterive’s past will no longer hold any secrets for you!
