At the top of a hillside, in a little corner of paradise, lies Domaine de Ribonnet. This château is not a family affair, but rather a succession of winegrowers, each with their own contribution to make. Among them, one particular figure left his mark: the engineer Clément Ader, a pioneer in aviation and telephony, who lived at Domaine de Ribonnet for more than 30 years.

Today, Christian and his son Simon, who have been at the helm of the estate since 2017, are committed to attentive viticulture, which is only possible on a human-scale estate. In 2001, they converted the entire estate to organic farming in order to encourage the development of the surrounding biodiversity.

Their great freedom? Not belonging to any AOC! Situated in the heart of the Comté Tolosan PGI area, Domaine de Ribonnet has worked with up to 25 different grape varieties! Each parcel has been the subject of geological studies to find out which grape varieties are best suited to each soil profile, and the crossroads of climatic influences (both Mediterranean and oceanic) illustrates the false simplicity of the terroir.
